How to delete your data

You can disconnect bank accounts, remove shared data, or fully delete your DockNine Money account at any time. Here is exactly how.

1

Disconnect a bank account

Open DockNine Money, choose Accounts, then open an account from the bank you want to disconnect. In Account Options, choose Disconnect [bank name]. DockNine removes the Plaid connection, accounts, and transactions from that institution.

2

Leave sharing groups

If you participate in any sharing groups, go to Sharing > Your Groups and leave each group before deleting your account. When you leave a group, your shared transaction data is removed from the group.

3

Request full account deletion

Open Settings, choose Delete Account, then select Delete Account Permanently. Confirm the deletion when prompted. The app removes your profile and stored DockNine data.

4

Revoke Plaid access (optional)

To revoke Plaid's access to your financial institutions independently, visit the Plaid Portal. This disconnects Plaid from your bank regardless of whether your DockNine Money account has been deleted.

What happens when your account is deleted

When we process your deletion request, we remove:

  • Your account profile (name, email, authentication credentials)
  • All linked bank account connections and Plaid tokens
  • All synced transaction and balance data
  • Budget configurations, goals, and bill reminders
  • Sharing group memberships and associated shared data
  • AI insight history and cached recommendations
  • Notification preferences and push tokens

Encrypted backups may retain your data for up to 90 days after deletion, after which it is permanently purged. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained.
